-This week we are reading Little Bear’s Friend. The genre of this story is fantasy fiction. This story has people talking to animals and animals wearing clothing.  Our high frequency words are again, blue, hello, high, love, and opened. The skills for this week are cause and effect and creating a mental image. We will also be talking about the author’s purpose in writing a story for entertainment.

-Our spelling this week will have the /i/ sound spelled ____y.  

-In math we will taking standard and nonstandard measurements.

-In Social Studies we will be discussing working and volunteering in our community.
