Welcome to our class web page! I am very excited about our educational journey that is about to begin! I am looking forward to an exciting year working with you and your child! Kindergarten is a wonderful educational journey full of adventure and discovery! During the year, your child will be exposed to a variety of teaching / learning techniques which will help your child to become life time learners. I am privileged to be a part of this special time in your child's life.
My major goal this year is to create a positive, caring, and intellectually engaging environment that fosters and promotes learners to be life long learners with a love of reading, writing and math. I strongly believe in setting high expectations for my students as well as myself. I strive to make this year of learning and discovery and enjoyable time for your child. I will encourage and guide your child to reach their full potential. I will love your child and treat them as I would want my own child treated. I very much want to establish and maintain good communication with you. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at 919-751-7155, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
My Philosophy of Education
My role as a kindergarten teacher is to inspire, encourage and find true uniqueness in every individual child each day. I am to be empathetic, open minded, encouraging and a compassionate role model. I will never underestimate my students' abilities. I expect each student to do their personal best and I hold every student accountable for doing their personal best!
I will create multiple learning opportunities and design lesson plans that insure that my students leave my classroom well prepared for the challenges of first grade.
Two quotes that describe my aspirations as an educator:
"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement, nothing can he done without hope and confidence." Helen Keller
"The medocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires."
William Arthur Ward
My Mission Statement:
As a kindergarten educator, I will conduct myself with a positive attitude. I will recognize and appreciate the whole child and motivate them to explore and embrace their educational journey. Each day I will say something kind to, and about someone else; I will thank those who have helped me, and do something kind for someone else. In everything I do, I will be guided by my beliefs and values. I will remain true to myself!
